Connection, approval, and payment are different
Connecting a wallet generally lets a site interact with it; an approval can grant token-spending rights; a payment transfers an asset. Account-permission changes are another separate action. Read the actual request in the wallet instead of relying on the label of the website button.
What you should see for trxPay.io
Use your own wallet to send the package’s TRX amount to the rental address shown on the homepage. You do not need to grant a USDT allowance, alter account permissions, or enter recovery information. Energy goes to the address that made that on-chain payment.
Why an approval can be risky even without an immediate debit
An allowance is a permission, not necessarily an immediate transfer. A malicious recipient may use it later. No visible loss right after signing is therefore not proof that a request was harmless.
Already approved something you do not recognize?
Stop making further requests on that site. Save the transaction hash and review the allowance through official wallet guidance or a trusted tool. Do not follow an unsolicited “revoke” link asking for a seed phrase. Renting more Energy does not cancel an approval.
Frequently asked questions
Is approving a TRX payment the same as approving USDT?
No. Confirming a transfer in your wallet is different from granting a token allowance. Check which operation the wallet is displaying.
Can a resource delegation change my token allowance?
Receiving delegated Energy is not a USDT approval. Review any separate signature or permission request on its own merits.
